Designing and innovating

All glass-making professions and types of glass are represented at Arc. Each day, our workshops produce white, opal, vitro-ceramic glasses and products made from materials created in Arques: Kwarx®, Zenix®, Diamax®.

Our designers, marketing and R&D teams blend experience and intuition to pre-empt expectations in the professional and consumer markets. The aim is to develop new concepts, renew collections every season, create original new shapes and propose increasingly innovative yet affordable products.

What is glass? 70% sand, 20% caustic soda, 10% limestone and various additives heated to over 1500°C.
Insulating, non-flammable and resistant, glass can be recycled over and over again. It possesses valuable properties and has an infinite number of uses.

custom-made
products
and services

The Arc group provides custom-made products and services for all types of companies.

Arc manufactures tailor-made promotional products for these brands. The Group’s teams work closely with the companies to establish the design, materials, manufacturing processes, decoration, and packaging as well as the distribution solutions best suited to their objectives.

Arc also works with interior decoration and furnishing brands. The Group designs and produces exclusive collections that are then sold under the brand’s name.

Each collection is produced on demand by the Business to Business Division, from the specifications files to promotion of the end product. The Division guarantees totally custom-made products and services.

Its business is divided into four main segments: industry, advertising, premium, and loyalty programs.

Its customers include major fast-food restaurants and beverage manufacturers, the world’s leading soda and cola company, and world-wide furniture and home decoration retailers.

Research driving innovation The Research and Development Division is based in Arques, the historic plant of the Group. Working in a state-of-the-art laboratory, our researchers and chemists push the boundaries of technology with three key objectives in mind.
Supporting product
creativity
New shapes, decorations and presentations. The Research and Development Division invents several new concepts each year. One of its primary missions is to inspire the design teams by providing them with new possibilities.
Reconciling technology
and ecology
Reducing the environmental impact of each manufacturing process, improving energy use, optimizing equipment versatility, and son on. Arc uses its research programs to drive sustainable development and improve every stage of production.
From decorations produced with low temperatures and organic inks to more environmentally-friendly packing, each innovation represents progress.
Reinventing materials Glass offers an infinite number of possibilities that the Research and Development Division is constantly exploring. Designing innovative, more ecological materials - for example lighter products or glass without heavy metals - is one of the division’s priorities.
The division has been responsible for three technological breakthroughs in recent years: Kwarx® in 2006, Diamax® and Zenix® in 2010. These three materials have revolutionized tableware!
Kwarx®
Unrivalled strength
Kwarx® was the result of two years intensive research; it combines unrivalled strength, perfect transparency and a heavy-metal-free composition. Its revolutionary formula and manufacturing process make it incredibly strong: the perfect fusion between the stem and the bowl of stemmed-glasses means there are no weak points on the surface.
Kwarx® has an exceptionally long life-span and withstands dish-washing five times better than standard dinnerware. It retains its sparkle even after 2,000 industrial washes.
Diamax®
The sparkling heavy-metal-free glass
The purity and sparkle of crystal in a material made without the use of heavy metals, yet providing greater strength than traditional crystal. Reserved exclusively for the Cristal d'Arques Paris® brand, it used to manufacture elegant yet affordable durable products.
Zenix®
Beauty that never fades
Similar in appearance yet three times stronger than porcelain, it is resistant to shocks and scratches and chipping. Devoted to the Luminarc® and Arcoroc® brands, it can be used to create original colorful shapes.

Producing everywhere in the world

Arc can produce up to five million glass items a day, thanks to its five production sites (France, China, United Arab Emirates, Russia, United States).

With facilities in the heart of its main markets, the Group adapts its collections to local tastes and optimizes logistics in order to offer the lowest prices around.
Distributing locally

To meet the needs of its different markets more effectively, Arc uses local distribution networks: specific subsidiaries or exclusive partnerships with its long-standing distributors.
For example, Arc reinforced its coverage in the United States in 2004 by purchasing the American wholesaler Cardinal.
